AEC to use GPS technology to produce new system Maps

Southeastern Reprographics, Inc. (SRI) was founded in February 1979 specifically to provide mapping and field inventory services to the electric, gas, and water utility industries. On April 30, 2007 SRI began conducting a field inventory of poles, transformers and meters on the AEC service area. This information will lead to a new mapping system for the cooperative. Currently the Utiltiy Mapping Crews are working in the Dandridge and Piedmont areas.  Immediate areas include old Knoxville Highway and Mutton Hollow Road. Crews will be moving on Deep Springs Road towards Douglas Dam Road (Hwy.139). By late summer, crews will move east toward Dandridge and north, towards Dumplin Valley and Highway 25/70. If you have questions or comments about this endevor, please contact Greg Williams, Adam Newcomb or Jim Greer in our engineering department.
