Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. and the business meeting begins at 10:00 a.m. Attendance prizes, refreshments and a free barbecue lunch will be provided. Williams selected to lead AEC

AEC Board President, Robert Drinnen has announced the selection of Greg Williams to become the new General Manager / Executive Vice-President of Appalachian Electric Cooperative. Williams will replace the retiring William A. Underwood on December 1, 2010. Drinnen commented "The Board has worked with Greg for several years, and we are well aware of how capable he is to lead the Co-op. We believe he possesses an excellent knowledge of our system, and the electric industry, and believe he will serve our membership well." Williams brings 27 years of experience and service to his new position and will become only the 9th General Manager in the Cooperative's 70 year history.

 

The state of Tennessee is offering residential rebate incentives and commercial financing programs for energy efficiency.

Residential members may be eligible for up to $250.00 for installation of a Energy Star Heat Pump. The program is retroactive to April 22, 2010. For more information or to apply, please visit www.e-rebates.org/teearp or call 1-877-741-4304.

Commercial members may receive financing options for installation of energy efficient measures. The TN Department of Economic and Community Development is launching a $50 million Energy Efficiency Loan Program designed to assist TN businesses in making improvements to reduce energy consumption.
